Sony’s ending 2025 with a BANG! Instead of the usual three games, PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting five titles this December – including some of the year’s most underrated gems. The drop hits on December 2nd and runs through January 5th, giving you plenty of holiday downtime to dig in.
Here’s what’s on the menu:
LEGO Horizon Adventures | PS5
The mash-up we didn’t know we needed.
Aloy gets the LEGO treatment in this surprisingly faithful reimagining of Horizon’s world. Hunt machines solo or team up in rock-solid couch co-op (yes, split-screen!) and online multiplayer. The Mother’s Heart Community Board adds replay value, while unlockable heroes like Varl and Erend bring unique skills to the fight. It’s Horizon, but with that signature LEGO charm and humor.
Killing Floor 3 | PS5
Six-player co-op chaos.
The iconic wave-based shooter returns with more gore and better movement. Up to six players can team up as Nightfall Specialists against Horzine’s bio-engineered monstrosities. New dash and climb mechanics make the carnage more fluid, while the weapon customization keeps things fresh. If you’ve got a squad that loves cooperative shooters, this is your jam. For those insatiable, who want more action, Tripwire just released a new DLC with additional 10 missions.
The Outlast Trials | PS4, PS5
Psychological horror with friends
Red Barrels brings the terror to PS Plus. Abducted by the Murkoff Corporation, you’re forced through twisted trials that test your sanity. Play solo if you’re brave, but the real fun is surviving with up to three friends online. Expect the same hide-or-die gameplay, but with new tools and upgrades to craft. Just remember: running is always a valid strategy.
Synduality Echo of Ada | PS5
Anime mecha extraction shooter.
Set in 2222 after a poisonous rain wipes out humanity, you’re a Drifter scavenging AO Crystals from the surface while piloting a “Cradlecoffin” mech. Teaming up with your AI partner (“Magus”), you’ll face xenomorphic Enders and toxic hazards. The twist? Other players can hijack your loot. It’s extraction shooter meets mecha anime—think Escape from Tarkov with more style and less soul-crushing despair.
Neon White | PS4, PS5
Speedrunning heaven.
This lightning-fast FPS is built for speed demons. You play as an assassin from Hell, slaughtering demons in Heaven using Soul Cards that double as weapons and movement abilities. The real hook? Finding shortcuts and optimizing routes for leaderboard supremacy. The narrative (uncovering your past life connections) is surprisingly solid, but the gameplay loop is pure addiction.
Sony notes this expanded lineup is for “select regions,” so double-check your local PlayStation Store on launch day. The lineup officially goes live December 2nd.
Don’t forget to grab November’s trio before they vanish on December 1st:
- Stray (play as a cat in a cyberpunk city, it’s as good as everyone says)
- EA Sports WRC 24 (solid rally racing)
- Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (chaotic physics-based strategy)
