Wandering Wight

Head forged in bronze, forever bowed low, Spirit unbound, through wild woods it goes. Greed’s embers linger, no peace to claim, In kowtow’s rage, it shatters its shame.

Description

Deep in the Forest of Wolves, where twisted roots clutch at the mist-shrouded earth, a hulking shadow lumbers forth. Its colossal cranium, sheathed in unyielding bronze, sways unnaturally upon a frail, elongated frame—like a babe forsaken, grown grotesque in death’s embrace. This is no mere yaoguai, but the restless wraith of Elder Jinchi, abbot of Guanyin Temple, whose avarice for the golden kasaya ignited calamity.

Wandering Wight

Information

Type: Yaoguai Chiefs

Location: Forest of Wolves

Having smashed his skull in remorse upon the temple’s unyielding stone, his soul refuses the void. It wanders, slamming its iron pate in mimicry of that final atonement, unleashing chi blasts and thunderous charges that rend the air. The Destined One must confront this tormented echo, dodging sweeping palms and seismic rams, to grant it the oblivion it craves. Absorb its spirit, and wield the Faithful Kowtow: bow with feigned devotion, then gore foes with the weight of eternal guilt.
