In Bully, transistors are collectible items that Jimmy can find and deliver to The Hobo in exchange for learning powerful fighting moves. There are six transistors scattered across Bullworth Academy and its surrounding areas. Below is a detailed guide on where to find each one, along with the rewards they unlock.
Transistor Locations & Rewards
1. Auto Shop Roof
- Location: Roof of the Auto Shop at Bullworth Academy.
- How to Access: During the mission “A Little Help” (Chapter 1), a ladder appears, allowing Jimmy to climb up. The transistor is on the roof.
- Reward: Uppercut.
2. School Basement (Furnace Room)
- Location: In the school basement, near the furnace.
- How to Access: Found during the mission “Help Gary” (Chapter 1) when retrieving a fire extinguisher. If missed, it can be collected later.
- Reward: Leg Sweep.
3. Alley Behind the Mexican Restaurant
- Location: In an alley behind the Mexican Restaurant in Bullworth Town, near a ladder.
- How to Access: Available from Chapter 2 onward.
- Reward: Thrust Kick (or Heavy Kick, depending on the version).
4. Bullworth Dam
- Location: On the walkway over Bullworth Dam, between Old Bullworth Vale and Bullworth Town.
- How to Access: Available from Chapter 2 onward.
- Reward: 5-Hit Combo.
5. Dragon’s Wing Comics Basement
- Location: In the basement of Dragon’s Wing Comics, on a table.
- How to Access: Must start the “Nerd Challenge” mission (Chapter 3) to unlock the “Employees Only” door.
- Reward: Roundhouse Kick.
6. New Coventry (Tenements Alley or Townie Hideout)
- Location:
- Original Version: In the northeast of New Coventry, near an abandoned building.
- Scholarship/Anniversary Edition: Moved to the alley leading to the Tenements (where you crawl through a window).
- Some early copies placed it in the Townie Hideout before being relocated.
- How to Access: Available from Chapter 3 onward.
- Reward: Overhead Punch.

- Map Markers: In Scholarship Edition and Anniversary Edition, completing Geography Class 4 reveals transistor locations on the map.
- Order of Collection: After the first two (mission-related), the rest can be collected in any order.
